I am registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the statutory body that oversees data protection law in the UK. My ICO Registration number is ZB330698 and I work to ICO standards with regard to the privacy and secure management of your personal data.
My practice is underpinned by a robust and Privacy and Data Processing Policy which details the steps that I will take to keep your personal information/data safe and secure from first contact, while we are working together and after our work has been completed. As set out in the Data Use and Access Act (DUAA) 2025, you have the right to make a data protection complaint directly to me. If you believe that I have not handled your data in accordance with UK data protection law, please put your complaint in writing and email it to me (paloma@pmcmpsychotherapy.co.uk) so that I can try to resolve the issue.
Be assured that I take all data protection complaints very seriously. If I receive a data protection complaint from you, I will acknowledge it within 30 days and get in touch with you to explain the next steps. In keeping with the timeframe set out in the DUAA, I aim to resolve data protection complaints within 3 months of receipt.
If you are not satisfied with my response to your data protection complaint, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), who can be contacted via their website (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint), by telephone (0303 123 1113) or by mail (ICO, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AF).
